Antiques expert, David (The Duke) Dickinson, has signed a lucrative sponsorship deal and is to become the new poster boy for wood stain giant, Ronseal, in a soon to be rolled-out national advertising campaign.

Speaking from his 5-bedroomed palatial apartment directly above Sotheby’s in London’s New Bond St earlier, and using his trademark third person singular style, David enthused about the news. ‘When you get The Duke you get exactly what it says on the tin. The Duke is absolutely delighted to be fronting such a well-known and much-loved product, and what’s more, now The Duke won’t need to worry about how he keeps his curiously orange complexion topped-up for the cameras!’

It’s understood that the antiques supremo was only chosen to front the campaign after fighting off some very stiff competition from veteran holiday presenter Judith Chalmers and the entire female cast of The Only Way is Essex.
